On multipurpose modulations and lag profile inversion for EISCAT_3D by Ilkka Virtanen (University of Oulu) The lag profile inversion software developed during the E3D preparatory phase project has been upgraded to run in a supercomputer as part of the "HPC-approach to Ionospheric Situational Awareness (HISSA)" project funded by the Research Council of Finland. We use synthetic voltage-level radar data to demonstrate how the concept of multipurpose modulations may be applied to EISCAT3D, and that lag profiles can be deconvolved from the data with reasonable computing resources.
