Splinter sessions will be organized according to the good old "Uppsala model" - one person (e.g., PhD student) presents a topic or project to not more than four persons that actively listen, support and discuss the thing. Everything is carried out in a friendly atmosphere around the table within one hour.

There are 3 splinter sessions during EFW workshop, all on Tuesday, 8 February.

• 09:10 Splinter I, open to everybody.
• 10:10 Coffee (Lunch room)
• 10:40 Splinter II, open to everybody.
• 11:45 Lunch
• 13:00 Invited scientific presentations. (room: Häggsalen)
• 15:00 Coffee (Project room)
• 15:30 Splinter III, separate sessions for PhD students and senior scientists.
• 18:15 Summary of splinters (Project room)
• 19:00 Dinner (registration required)
